Life of an abandoned girl


He is definitely not your best choice

Start life anew!
I wasn’t brought up a murderer
I hold on to it and I focus on bringing it to this world
A dark world full of hate
Who will love my child?
I can’t do this on my own

On the streets I find myself
My day is due
No shawl awaits the baby, no sheets
The hate within me has turned into a very strong affection
Every kick creases a smile on my tear-streaked face

I wash people’s clothes and in turn, get food in my belly

I can’t bend anymore
Something warm runs down my legs
I am taken aback at the sight of blood
The next time I awake
My belly has flattened
I try to jerk out of bed
Wires are all over me
My baby, my baby I cry

A light bundle is placed on my arms
I breathe in at the sight
I want to squeeze her to my breast
It is a delight to meet her
For a moment, I forget my problems
The world is just beautiful,
Reality strikes
