The devil's seed

Story story story 

Once upon a  time,  there lived Twac, Amin and Ana. Twac sold some grains in the market while Amin sold grains,  vegetables,  fruits and sometimes meat and fish. Ana owned a shop not so far from the market where Twac and Amin sold.

One day, Ana visited Amin in the market and as they ate their lunch, Ana saw Twac, one of her acquaintances pass by. She called Twac over and introduced her husband to her. She even suggested Twac could bring some of her grains over for sales should sales go slow on her end. Amin had a reputation for quick sales.

Twac on getting to know Amin she immediately started a ploy that planted the seed of hatred in Amin and Ana. She wanted Amin for herself,  but that failed so she embarked on making a match for Amin with other shop owners in the next village. Apparently to her, Amin was too good for Ana,  he deserved better. Even when Amin told her he was contented, she was so sure she would seperate them...she would rant on...we will see, we will see how long it lasts. She made it a point to lure several shop owners , but one fell in her trap. She targeted the weakness in Amin and this particular shop owner Aket-ket. 

 

All along Amin would discuss this strange behaviour of Twac with his wife. He loved his wife and the village knew of this. He told Twac the same on several occasions,  but Twac wasn't going to hear of it. There was no yielding on her side.  She succeeded or almost succeeded in her match making as Amin started seeing this shop owner Aket-ket. 

By the time his eyes opened about how they had both been played, their emotions were entangled! 

Amin told Aket-ket how they had been  played and this terribly affected the friendship Aket-ket had with Twac.

Amin detested Twac and focused on watering the grass on his compound.  

Ana was terribly hurt, but she chose to love her husband nonetheless 

She found her peace...

But;

She finally saw the devil 

And knew the devil 

So the devil was all along here

Clad in sheep skin

The devil is a woman!

she loves

she hugs

she laughs

she engages in humanitarian work

she smiles with her target

she makes one's environment comfortable

she bites and cools it like a rat gnawing one's toe 

Like a calm cat

All along laying her strategy to strike

She is a real devil

she lives right here with us

she coos 

As she waits for every opportunity 

and lures the one love in one's life

she thinks one knows not
