Eh Men!
So the other day I attended a school meeting. The administration tried to keep it to just an hour which was dope save for some self proclaimed angelic men in the house that dragged us into
more good minutes. They went on to dress code and hit straight at women. Yes 2 men...even if we could see a few patriarchy at play, glad they agreed in silence but these two!
So man goes on to point his filthy finger at how "indecent" dress code affects education. And I start wondering how dress code affects one's intellect. We all know there are some dressings that raise eyebrows but none was in the room, but again we must feel comfortable in our own skin and clothes, that's what matters. One will point out "mind your environment"...I once attended a wedding millions of leagues away from home in a place hotter than my own and the priest wedded the couple in shorts and a t-shirt while some people were dying in suits, very unbearable!
Anyway, back to this man. So he yaps about how his child was in some school that emerged the best in my country and attributes the success to proper dress code. Such bullshit if that is the only basis. He sites another example how a school will expel a child because the mother is indecent. I don't find any sense in this. It's like denying a mom antenatal care in my country because she didn't move along with her husband. Who suffers in this case...
Yes the man! Then he blunders by pointing at a mama who is in a blue sleeveless free wear, not string sleeves. Check this photo here. Her sleeve is like this (check photo), length dress is same, but has no elastic on the waist, it is proper free! It's a slightly deeper blue than this...
My home around this time is warm, we swim in 35°c or even more....so he goes like "if this lady here (pointing) was a parent at xx school, she wouldn't be accepted in the school compound" Aaah man!
I am not sure we would accommodate your dressing in a school meeting clad in a tee and sandals. Men, chill Mama's. Manage your household if you must.
Stop ugly finger wagging at he heroines of the land!
My weekend as it was
