The night Aphrodite visited

It was Thursday evening.  I stood at out usual spot gazing at the beautiful moon. The night was peaceful, the wind slowly kissed the trees as they passed going north. I felt Akhwale's presence, but this couldn't be because he was away hunting and should only be back in a fortnight. I wish he was here with me tonight viewing the moon which was spectacular this night as the stars twinkled around it. It hung so low I could literally touch it.

Somebody was approaching, I wasn't scared, but still froze...then the person stood right behind me and he needed no introduction because I could smell him. Akhwale slid his right hand into mine and with the other he wrapped me from my mid section.  His breath was warm behind my ears. I smiled. 'Your smile is always beautiful',  commented Akhwale. I gave a little laugh as I wondered how he knew I had smiled. We stood like this and in no time we were swaying. He was humming our favourite song. As I melted in his arms, he carried me to our favourite rock. I was surprised to find wild fruits waiting for me. Akhwale cushioned my head on his thighs as he fed me the fruits. By this time the moon had moved right overhead casting love upon us. 'This night another baby will be formed.'
