A Shrub of a Mind

As we close this chapter

I pray that we do this in a way that leaves us both happy

It has been hard on both of us

Talking always helps

May those who mince other people's words be punished

Why fuel fire where the fire is already burning so hot, and high 

All I want is my lover back

I want my heart back

I want peace

May this be a lesson

Never have I played

Yet when I did, I chose the wrong time 

I know what love feels like 

I know I love you

When you crossed my path

You vanished just as fast as you appeared

Even when I can't have you

May peace prevail 

And may we see eye to eye
